The system of stepping down high-voltage direct current and converting it into alternating current is necessary for the transmission of direct current electric energy over long distances from various independent sources of energy, which can additionally serve as an accumulator of electric energy by accumulating electric energy due to a significant increase in the voltage in the transmission line.
